Who Should Apply to the Carpenters' Project?
Anyone who is truly interested in acquiring carpentry skills and becoming a union carpenter, is physically fit to work as a construction tradesperson, and meets the other criteria can apply. This program has been designed to reduce some of the barriers that have blocked the path to membership in construction unions in the past. Do not assume that because you have been unable to get into a union apprenticeship in the past, the same thing will happen this time.
The Building Bridges Carpenters Program will be able to provide support for transportation, childcare, tools and safety equipment costs.
