Building Bridges Project

Accomplishments:

1. From January 2005 to October 2005:
   • 38 students graduated from our program
   • 23 graduates have applied to apprenticeship programs
   • 22 students have been accepted to apprenticeship schools

    

2. Conducted training on Southside, Westside of Chicago, and Joliet this year.

 

3. Held Job club meetings to assist and inform graduates about work and apprenticeships.

 

4. Built financial training relationships with Banks.

 

5. Held a Building Bridges first time five year celebration which brought Labor and the community together.

 

6. Building relations with major and small contractors/developers.

 

7. Building relations between the Building Trades Union and Religious Leadership.
